Thanks for your reply Andrew, I will on the lookout for the next review. My current screen resolution is only 1280x800 (13.3 MacBookPro)... but the colors are great on it. Tempted by the 1600x900 option of the dm4t ... as well as all the options you get for the price!

Thanks for that correction John, I have updated the post. I think I did that because HP initially actually had it listed as 1366 x 768 on their site, you can see in the screenshot I took of the cart checkout the specs listed as such. I've got one on order and the order confirmation says 1366 x 768, I sure hope it's wrong!

I just wanted you to know that you listed the screen resolution as 1366x768 and it is really 1600x900 which there are only a few laptops with this screen resolution or better the new 2012 samsung series 9(not yet out) the sony vaio z series the apple pro books and macbooks and hp spectre 14 and maybe one or two more high end gaming type laptops so it is among the elite in screen resolution and I thought you might want to get this right since it is a major selling point. thank you.

Thanks for the heads up, looking forward to it.

Don't mean to be a PIA :-S, but I run linux on my computers, any chance you could throw in an Ubuntu live CD see how it works, just to check if everything is compatible, there's no need to install, the OS runs fine booting from a CD/DVD or thumbstick (although slower).

That would help a lot to people who like me uses linux distros, give a good idea if there is any driver problem or configuration missing, and should take around 10-15 mins to check once you have a live Ubuntu image, thanks.

Regards,
Edgar

If you bought it direct from Dell there certainly would be a wireless card. I didn't know they sold laptops without an OS. If you bought it refurbished from some other vendor it's possible they stripped parts out before reselling it.

Hi Monika, compared to the current MacBook Pros the 1600 x 900 screen is not as good as what Apple offers. It's not as bright the overall color reproduction is just not the same quality to this eye at least. Now, that's my opinion, the LaptopReviews.com editor reviewing the laptop might have a different take, he will be done with the review within the next week or so and if you can wait until then get another opinion from an advanced user.
