Shipping to store or a FedEx pickup location is free or you can get home delivery for just $0.97, keeping the total price before tax under $300. This is an excellent deal and the cheapest you’ll find any ThinkPad X-series notebook going for. The X120e is intended as a work machine on the road, it sports a 5 – 6 hour battery life and has the legendary ThinkPad keyboard and pointing stick so that typing is very comfortable even on this smaller sized laptop. The full specs for the ThinkPad X120e on sale for $299 at WalMart.com are as follows:

The X120e is well suited for those that need a cheap and portable laptop with long battery life. Certainly students could put the X120e to good use, but if you run a small business then this could make a great option as a “run around” laptop that’s easier to take with you than say a 15” or 17” screen desktop replacement style laptop. You could easily take this to class and use it on a desk to take notes, or take it to a client site to make a presentation, whatever your needs may be.
The configuration on sale only has 2GB of RAM but it is easy to upgrade RAM on the X120e and the cost would only be around $17 if you order a 2GB stick of RAM from Newegg.com to get a boost to 4GB. That’s really the only upgrade I’d recommend, you could also put in an SSD but that’d cost half the amount of the laptop.
