Lenovo today announced a couple more laptops coming to the IdeaPad lineup that are equipped with the new Intel 4th generation Core i5 and i7 processors. The IdeaPad U330 Touch and U430 Touch will replace the U310 and U410 respectively. The U330 will have a 13.3” touch screen display and 1366 x 768 resolution or optional 1920 x 1080 Full HD display. Meanwhile, the U430 will come with a standard 1600 x 900 resolution display and similar 1920 x 1080 upgrade option. Processors will be configurable up to 4th generation Core i7. Each will come with a standard hard drive in varying sizes, but will also offer an SSD for improved performance. RAM will be configurable up to 8GB and the U430 will have the option for an Nvidia 730M GPU instead of standard Intel integrated graphics.
The design will not change at all from the earlier U310 or U410, meaning you still get the slim body with all silver finish. Lenovo is touting up to 6 hours in a video they just posted on their YouTube channel showing the U330 and U430:
Availability for the U330 and U430 starts in the 3rd quarter of 2013, hopefully that means the release is in time for back to school laptop buying in August. The U330 will start at $799 and U430 at $899.
