Toshiba laptop announcements continue with the unveiling of its new affordable and portable Satellite L800 and Satellite C800 Series laptops, which are available in a variety of configurations, screen sizes, and colors.
Satellite L800 Series laptops are ideal for customers looking for a reliable and a generally good all-around system for a reasonable price. Though the new L-Series laptops are thinner than its previous generation, it still maintains its durability and generous screen size and will sport Toshiba’s Fusion II finish with a new cross line pattern in a range of colors such as: Mercury Silver, Tuxedo Black, Pearl White, Corsa Red and Cobalt Blue. They will also include full-sized raised tile keyboards with 10-key number pads on the larger models. Additionally, the new L800 laptops will now include a larger multi-touch control trackpad to maximize usability and minimize incidental contact.
Some of the featured specifications of the new L800-Series include:
- Select configurations will be equipped with 3rd Generation Intel Core processors (Ivy Bridge) or the latest multi-core Accelerated Processing Units from AMD, for multitasking, productivity, and light gaming.
- The HD TruBrite display is available in three screen sizes: 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch.
- Toshiba smart technologies, including PC Health Monitor, eco Utility and USB Sleep & Charge, allowing users to charge their devices when their laptops are powered off.
- SRS Premium Sound HD.
- Select configurations of the Satellite L800 Series come equipped with a Blu-ray player, HD webcam, and HDMI port.
For an even more casual option, the Satellite C800 Series laptops deliver basic productivity for consumers on a budget. With its fingerprint-resistant Trax Texture finish in Satin Black or Fusion I finish in Mercury Silver, the C800 laptops feature next-generation processors from Intel and AMD with up to 500GB in hard drive space and variety of connectivity options that include USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, a Media Card Reader, and an HDMI port. Additionally, the laptops will include a webcam with face recognition technology, a DVD drive, and a full-sized keyboard. Like its L800 brethren, they are available with HD TruBrite widescreen display in sizes of 14, 15.6- and 17.3-inch diagonal display models.
The Toshiba Satellite L845, L855, and L875Series laptops start at $449.99, $499.99 MSRP, and $599.99 MSRP respectively, while the C800 Series start at $399.99 MSRP.
All of the laptops will be available for purchase in early Q3 2012 at major retailers, online stores, and direct from Toshiba on ToshibaDirect.com.
